Impacted canines, meaning canines that fail to erupt and remain trapped, are a relatively common dental anomaly. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">The good news is that, thanks to modern dentistry, this problem also has an effective and gentle solution. The causes of impaction<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"ng-star-inserted\"><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">Canines play a key role in chewing, speech formation and the aesthetics of the smile. <\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\">They are usually the last of the permanent teeth to emerge, at around 11 to 13 years of age.
