When is oral surgery needed?
- Tooth extraction: When decay or fracture of the tooth is so extensive that it cannot be restored with a filling/crown.
- Wisdom tooth removal: When it causes inflammation, presses against the other teeth, or has no room to erupt. During healing, a professional oral hygiene treatment is recommended.
- Apicoectomy (root tip resection): Surgical removal of inflammation at the root tip in order to save the tooth.
- Lip and tongue tie correction: If a tight tongue tie hinders speech, or the lip tie causes a gap between the teeth, we release it with a quick, pain-free procedure.
