Playful dentistry and gentle care for the little ones

We know that childhood experiences shape a person's relationship with the dentist for a lifetime. Our goal is for the time spent with us to be about trust and safety rather than anxiety.

Our patient specialists carry out treatments using playful methods, speaking your child's language — whether it's a first check-up, a tiny filling or orthodontic treatment. Healthy baby teeth are the foundation of strong permanent teeth and a well-aligned smile.

What does a pediatric dental visit look like with us?

  1. Getting Acquainted and Examination: On the first visit we playfully introduce the dental instruments. We "ride the elevator" in the chair, show off the "magic lamp" and the "breather" (suction), so your child's confidence can grow. We count the little teeth and check for cavities and how the change of teeth is progressing.
  2. Treatment: If intervention is needed, we use a special numbing gel ("jam") before the injection, so the pinch is almost unnoticeable.
  3. Praise and Reward: Bravery always earns a little recognition here, so your child leaves with pride.

Our pediatric dentistry services

  • Fissure sealing: Filling the deep grooves of the chewing teeth with a liquid protective material that prevents decay. A painless, drill-free procedure.
  • Baby tooth fillings: With glass ionomer or colorful "compomer" fillings that kids love picking out themselves.
  • Pediatric orthodontics: With removable and fixed appliances we support the change of teeth, create space for the permanent teeth, and monitor facial development.
  • Teeth cleaning and Education: We remove plaque from the teeth and teach proper brushing, so the kids can keep up the good work at home too.

Frequently Asked Questions — Pediatric Dentistry

When should I bring my child to the dentist for the first time?

The first "get-to-know-us" visit is recommended at the age of 2–3.

Why fill a baby tooth if it will fall out anyway?

A decayed baby tooth causes pain, acts as a source of infection in the body, and can infect the neighboring baby teeth as well as the permanent tooth developing underneath. The baby tooth also serves as a "space maintainer" for the permanent tooth; if it is removed too early, the teeth may become crowded.

Will the treatment hurt my child?

We do everything we can to keep treatments pain-free. We use strong numbing gels and work slowly and patiently.

What should I do if my child is afraid of the dentist?

Don't use the dentist as a threat at home ("if you don't brush your teeth, the doctor will come and pull them out"). Bring your child in for a friendly introduction, where we only play with the instruments and no treatment is performed.

What is fissure sealing and how long does it take?

It is a preventive treatment against decay on the permanent molars. It takes about 10–15 minutes, is completely painless, and requires no drilling.

What toothpaste should we use?

Use a fluoride toothpaste appropriate for your child's age, regardless of brand.

Can a pacifier cause dental problems?

Yes, prolonged pacifier use (beyond the age of 3) can cause an open bite and orthodontic problems.

What should I do if my child's tooth gets knocked out in an accident?

If it is a permanent tooth, contact us immediately! Keep the tooth in saliva or milk (do not rinse it with water), as there is a chance it can be replanted.

Can a parent be present during the treatment?

Yes — in fact, we recommend it for your child's sense of security, but we kindly ask you to leave the talking to the dentist so your child can focus on us.

How often should we come for a check-up?

Children's enamel is thinner and decay spreads faster, so a dental check-up every six months is recommended.
