What are the benefits of Invisalign invisible braces?

  • Almost invisible: the clear aligners are barely noticeable.
  • Removable: can be taken out at any time for eating and brushing. Teeth can be cleaned perfectly. They don't need to be worn during critical moments.
  • Comfortable: no sharp protruding metal, less irritation.
  • Digital planning: more precise, well-planned treatment. The 3D ClinCheck plan shows the expected result in advance.
  • Fewer check-ups: appointments needed only every 8–12 weeks.
  • Safe and effective: millions of successful treatments worldwide!

How does Invisalign work?

The aligners (invisible trays) are designed entirely digitally — based on a 3D scan of the teeth, we plan the precise movement of the teeth with the help of a computer. Each tray, or aligner, can move teeth by approximately 0.1 millimetres precisely. So we break down the movement path of the teeth into 0.1-millimetre steps, and design an aligner for each step. The lab produces these with a 3D printer, and you receive a series of trays which from then on you simply need to wear. The success of the treatment depends partly on the tooth-movement plan (ClinCheck), and partly on your wearing habits!

How does the Invisalign treatment work? – Step by step

Consultation and planning
Based on the initial diagnostics — oral examination, digital impression, photos, X-rays — we prepare your tooth-movement plan (ClinCheck). On this you can already see the steps and the expected end result.
Aligner production
After accepting the personalised treatment plan, we send the aligners into production at the central Invisalign lab. There, the entire series of aligners is produced using the most modern 3D printing technology. A turnaround time of about 3–4 weeks should be expected.
Handover of the first aligners
When treatment begins, tooth-coloured attachments — also called "buttons" — are placed. We give you the aligners, explain how to wear and clean them, and the fun begins.
Kontrollok
Every 2–3 months a personal appointment is needed, where we check that everything is going according to plan. As needed we can also monitor the treatment remotely via the Invisalign Virtual Care app.

Frequently asked questions about invisible orthodontics

Is it visible when I wear Invisalign?

The aligners are made of completely transparent plastic, so they are almost invisible. Most people will not even notice that you are wearing braces.

Is the treatment painful?

No — Invisalign is usually much more comfortable than traditional braces. When inserting a new aligner you may feel mild pressure, but this passes within a few days — it is a sign that your teeth are moving into place.

How long does invisible orthodontics take?

This varies completely from person to person. For some, a few months is enough, while in more complex cases it can take 1–2 years. You will get a precise answer at the consultation.

How often should the aligners be worn?

20–22 hours a day. Take them out only for eating, drinking (apart from water), brushing and cleaning.

Can I remove the Invisalign aligner for eating or special occasions?

Yes! It is one of the greatest advantages. You always have to take them out for eating, so there are no dietary restrictions, and you can also remove them briefly for important events.

How often do I need to come for check-ups?

Usually every 2–3 months, but in certain cases online check-ups are available via Invisalign Virtual Care.

Mi az Invisalign Virtual Care?

Invisalign Virtual Care is a digital monitoring system that allows the treating doctor to track the progress of the patient's orthodontic treatment online. Patients upload photos of their smile at predetermined intervals, so the doctor can assess the results between personal visits and provide guidance if needed.

How much does Invisalign treatment cost?

The price depends on the individual case. The total cost covers digital planning, aligners, check-ups, any refinements and final retention. We can give a precise price at the consultation.

How is invisible orthodontics different from traditional braces?

Almost invisible, removable, more comfortable and easier to keep clean — yet equally effective as fixed braces in most cases.

What is the downside of invisible orthodontics?

It is removable! If you don't wear it, it doesn't work! It is less reliable for complex tooth movements, so there are cases where we recommend bonded braces.

How often should the aligners be changed?

Usually every 7–14 days. If you travel a lot, we can hand over multiple sets in advance.

What happens after Invisalign treatment?

At the end of the treatment we provide a retention wire and a removable night-time appliance so that your teeth keep the achieved position. This ensures a lasting result.
