Digital scan: no more uncomfortable impression-taking

Orthodontics is being fundamentally transformed by digital technology, promising a more efficient and more comfortable future across the board. The centrepiece of digitisation is the 3D scanner — a camera taking thousands of images per second, with accompanying software that produces a digital model of the teeth and gums accurate to a hundredth of a millimetre. Thanks to digital technology, traditional impressions are no longer needed — they were unpleasant for many people and carried numerous opportunities for error.

3D planning and execution: precise, efficient, comfortable

On the basis of the digital model we then create the treatment and tooth-movement plans (ClinCheck), removable and bonded orthodontic appliances, as well as the clear orthodontic aligners. With the digital model in hand and special software we can show you the expected end result of the treatment. This predictability creates the opportunity for shared, informed decision-making before your treatment begins.

Laser-printed appliances

These are today's most modern dental-laboratory devices, designed digitally and entirely individually. They always fit perfectly, are smaller and more hygienic, and therefore deliver better results than their traditionally manufactured counterparts. For comparison, here is a traditional and a digital-based rapid expander: it is clearly visible that the traditional device uses prefabricated bands that only roughly fit the teeth, while the digital device perfectly hugs each tooth — entirely custom-made, far more accurate, durable and hygienic.
